At the extraordinary calcareous land of Secastilla’s Valley, in the Huesca area, deep and leaning, our grapevine appears. The semi-humid climate from the very top area of Somontano, where our vineyard is located, is the most important factor to develop excellent grape quality. Our cold and rainy wintertime, but also mild summers with many hours of sunshine, make our grapes mature in a very suitable way.
The wine region of Somontano lies at the foot of the Pyrenees Mountains. The name Somontano actually means ‘Beneath the Mountain’.
Six grape varieties are born from our grapevine, chosen by our oenologist with just one aim: to surprise the five senses of men and women. The sensual Garnacha grape, the elegant Merlot, the surprising Cabernet Sauvignon, the fantastic Syrah, the carefree Chardonnay, and the exquisite Sauvignon Blanc. The defined personality of our grapevine helps us to make wine with a peculiar symbol of identity. There are so many different moments to taste any of our wines!
This is the culmination after growing the grape. Depending on the weather conditions, when the grape matures and the rain occurred along the months, the harvest will be earlier or later. This is always manually, nowadays an unusual way to get the grape at most of the cellars. Bunches of grapes gathered are transported in small boxes to our cellar, where the best ones are selected in order to guarantee the great quality of our wines. During the fermentation we patiently supervise every single step, so then we can offer the whole potential of our grape.
We are sure that thanks to the traditional way of ageing the grape inside barrels made by French and American oak best wines are made. A long rest, patented and controlled, in an accurate temperature, inside plenty barrels. Not only the great calm in our cellar, but also the caress at every single of our tasks, make our obsession about a good job complete.
All our wines are suitable for vegetarians. The rosé and white wines and also suitable for vegans.
