Candiles de Hiriart Crianza

Tasting notes

Violet shades, a sign of youth and ageing time. Very fruity aromas from Tempranillo and Garnacha mixed with excellent quality wood aromas. A very well-balanced and structured wine whose palate is again reminiscent of the varietal aromas. This is an enduring wine which still has a long ageing potential in the bottle before it reaches its peak. A great wine.

Winemaker notes

This ‘Reserva de Familia’ wine, is created with the greatest care, using medium to light toasted fine grain barrels made from wood sourced in Adour, France. The wine ages for 16 months to optimize the features of a carefully selected 60/40 mixture of grapes (from Tempranillo and 100-year-old Garnacha vines).

The mixture of Tempranillo and Garnacha grapes give this wine a character and personality of its own, where the scent and the freshness of the Garnacha complements the strength and the power of the Tempranillo.
